Mooseworks Live: A Conversation About Productivity, Prosperity & Growth In Canada

CCI hosted a special Mooseworks Live event for an engaging discussion on fostering prosperity, enhancing productivity, and driving economic growth in Canada. CCI Director of Policy & Research Laurent Carbonneau was joined by: Vasiliki (Vass) Bednar, Brett House.

Vasiliki (Vass) Bednar is the Executive Director & Co-Founder of  Master of Public Policy in Digital Society at McMaster University and host of the "Lately" podcast by The Globe and Mail. Vasiliki’s work focuses on the relationship between policy and the innovation system.

Brett House is a Professor of Professional Practice in Economics at Columbia Business School and is a former Deputy Chief Economist at Scotiabank. He also serves as Senior Fellow with the Munk School and Massey College at the University of Toronto.

The Canadian economy is falling behind its historical peer nations and isn’t firing on all cylinders. The expert panel discussed the data, policy literature, and strategies to propel Canada’s economy for 21st century growth.
