CCI Welcomes Protexxa to the Team

August 26, 2024

The Council of Canadian Innovators is excited to announce Protexxa and CEO Claudette McGowan as the newest members of our national network of scale-up technology companies.

Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Protexxa is a B2B SaaS cybersecurity company that connects the dots between personal cyber hygiene and business risk. Using AI, the Protexxa Defender platform rapidly identifies, evaluates, predicts, and resolves common cyber issues. With a key focus on prevention and increasing global cyber literacy, Protexxa also offers personalized training and consulting for companies worldwide.

As cyber attacks increasingly threaten Canadian technology companies—and with 90 percent of attacks attributable to human error or vulnerability—Protexxa is playing a crucial role in protecting the organizational information and intellectual property of Canadian businesses.

“It’s amazing to see Canadian companies like Protexxa truly helping organizations stay safer in our digital world and protect their most important digital assets,” said Benjamin Bergen, President of the Council of Canadian Innovators. “Cybersecurity breaches have the potential to cause harm to every organization in the world, which is why the work being done by Protexxa is vitally important to the Canadian tech industry.”

Since 2015, the Council of Canadian Innovators has been Canada’s business council exclusively devoted to high-growth Canadian-headquartered technology companies, working with government leaders to co-develop strategies to unleash our nation’s innovation potential.
