CCI Welcomes 4AG Robotics as Our Newest Member

December 10, 2024

The Council of Canadian Innovators is happy to welcome 4AG Robotics and CEO Sean O’Connor to our national network of scale-ups.

Based in Salmon Arm, British Columbia 4AG Robotics is redefining agricultural innovation with its fully autonomous, AI-driven mushroom-harvesting robot. Designed to integrate seamlessly with existing farm infrastructure, this groundbreaking technology addresses critical labor shortages by automating the delicate and demanding task of mushroom picking. The result is greater efficiency, reduced waste, and the ability for farms to meet growing demand sustainably.

4AG Robotics successfully demonstrated their new robot capabilities in the first half of 2024, and have since sold robots to the largest farms in Australia, Ireland, the US, the Netherlands and Canada.

“4AG is transforming agriculture with new solutions that ensures farms can meet growing demand,” said CCI President Benjamin Bergen. “We’re proud to support their work in revolutionizing mushroom harvesting and strengthening Canada’s agricultural technology sector.”

Since 2015, the Council of Canadian Innovators has championed high-growth Canadian tech companies and advocated for policies that unlock the full potential of the nation’s innovation ecosystem.
