Canadian Tech Sector Pulse Check

CCI hosted a Canadian Tech Sector Pulse Check with industry leaders to discuss the current health of the Canadian tech sector. CCI President Benjamin Bergen was joined by:

• Rebecca Kacaba, Co-Founder & CEO of Dealmaker,
• Daniel Eberhard, Founder and CEO of KOHO, and
• ‍Stephany Lapierre, Founder & CEO of Tealbook.

Rebecca Kacaba is the Co-Founder and CEO of DealMaker, Canada’s fastest growing tech company of 2023. Winner of Leppert’s Top 40 under40, Rebecca has industry leading experience in the eCommerce and technology industries.

Daniel Eberhard is the Founder and CEO of Koho, a Canadian fintech company. Koho has raised $300 million to democratize access to the best financial products for Canadians.

Stephany Lapierre serves as Tealbook’s Founder and CEO. Stephany has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Women in Supply Chain. After spending more than a decade observing the costly and inefficient gap between enterprise buyers and suppliers, she launched TealBook, the world’s leading supplier data foundation.

The expert panel discussed their own experiences while securing capital and talent, their current worries about the Canadian technology ecosystem, and how current governmental decision making is impacting the future of Canadian prosperity.
