March 11, 2024
The Council of Canadian Innovators is pleased to welcome Jean-François Harvey to our team as Director of Quebec Affairs. Jean-François will be the voice for our Quebec members as we work with the Quebec government to develop better economic policies that drive growth in the 21st century digital economy.
Jean-François brings a wealth of experience to this role as a public affairs professional with more than ten years of experience in government relations, media relations and business development.
“High-growth technology companies are a vital piece of the economic future for Quebec, and CCI has a long history of working with the government to support the great innovators who are commercializing ideas and creating wealth for the benefit of Quebec society,” said CCI President Benjamin Bergen.
Before joining the Canadian Council of Innovators, Jean-François worked in various political offices within the federal government, including the offices of the Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour, the Minister of Health and the Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry as senior advisor for Quebec. Most recently, he spent two years at WSP, one of the world's largest consulting firms, as Senior Advisor, Communications & Public Affairs.
“Quebec is home to so many exciting technology companies, leading in the world of artificial intelligence, life sciences, autonomous vehicles and software. I’m excited to be working with CCI’s member CEOs in Quebec, and the national network of scale-up companies who are competing in the 21st century digital economy,” CCI Quebec Director Jean-François Harvey said.
Engaged in his community, Jean-François is involved with Centraide of Greater Montreal as a member of the emerging philanthropists committee. He has served on the boards of several organizations, including the Montreal Urban Ecology Center and Force Jeunesse. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Montreal.
